Mighty Mouse
by Del Conkright
Are you getting the most out of your mouse? I certainly haven’t. I have been just clicking away on my mouse wondering why things keep popping up like the Dashboard. Good thing I read my MacWorld and MacLife Journals. Now I find out (I did know but never took the time to look into it.) that I can make the mouse truly mighty by going to System Preferences, clicking on Mouse at the top and making the numerous buttons on my mouse do something.

Now the left button does the clicking, the right button brings up Spotlight, (which I seem to use all the time-trying to find my files that I have forgotten where I put them), the side buttons show me all applications I have open on my desktop (so I can select the one I want to work on next), and the top scroll button to scroll through pages of a document or by using the Control key along with the scroll button to zoom in and out of web site’s documents when the print is too small for me to read.
Now I feel like I am really making use of mouse. It has gone from a clicking mouse to a Mighty Mouse after just a few clicks in my System Preferences/Keyboard & Mouse/Mouse.
Come on! Make your mouse into a Mighty Mouse! I dare ya! I double dare you! The last one to do it is a rotten egg! Or is that politically incorrect? Well, it didn’t use to be.
I dare you!
Enjoy!
